LED-R Cube – Automated coating thickness measurement for specialized applications
The compact OptiSense LED-R Cube sensors enable precise, non-contact coating thickness measurement for demanding powder and wet-paint coatings, as well as for specialized material combinations.
Compared to laser sensors, the larger measurement field compensates for surface irregularities, resulting in more consistent measurement data. Infrared technology is particularly well-suited for applications where the characteristics of the substrate or coating present specific challenges—for instance, when dealing with non-metallic substrates, specialized coating materials, or black surfaces.
For automated system integration: For automated system integration: The sensors can be directly integrated into industrial control systems via a PLC interface. The standard connection is via PROFINET; customer-specific interface adaptations are possible. An integrated safety loop supports integration into the plant environment.
The compact, cube-shaped housing with a selectable cable connection allows for flexible mounting. The generous contact surface ensures efficient heat dissipation.
